Here are some of our most Frequently Asked Questions...
What are your charges?
We base everything on an hourly rate. We will tell you as much as possible about the cost of the job in advance, in an upfront and transparent manner. There are, however a lot of variables in pest control as we are dealing with a form of wildlife, but this does not mean that you will get a nasty surprise regarding the price.
Do you charge VAT?
There’s no VAT as we are not VAT registered, so there’s no extra VAT to pay.
How can I pay my bill?
You can pay by cash, or cheque at the time of service, or we can invoice you and you can pay by direct banking.
Are your products safe?
Wherever possible, we use traps or biological control techniques without using chemicals. Where ever we have to use chemicals, these are all approved under the 1986 Pesticide Regulations and have been thoroughly tested. We use the smallest quantities of product possible, using the least toxic, active ingredients. For all works, COSHH assessments, Risk Assessments and Environmental Assessments are all carried out.
What if I need a regular service?
We offer a range of bespoke service packages, tailored to your exact requirements and paid for quarterly.
Are the works undertaken guaranteed?
Yes. Where ever possible, our work is guaranteed and we will tell you about this when work is booked in. Some things we cannot guarantee, i.e. we cannot guarantee other pests will not come onto your property from the surrounding areas, or neighbouring properties, as we cannot prevent wildlife roaming or re-entering your properties as part of a treatment. However, for many species, we do offer a proofing service, specifically to prevent pests from getting into, or onto, your property. We will offer recommendations for this for every job we undertake.
What are your response times?
We are generally faster than both Local Authority and larger companies. Although we cannot always guarantee this, we will do our very best to get to emergencies and urgent jobs, as quickly as possible.
I do not want my neighbours knowing I may have a pest problem. Can you be discreet?
Yes. We drive unmarked vans. We have no logos on our uniforms or service bags. We treat customer confidentiality very seriously. We appreciate that certain knowledge may cause embarrassment to our clients as well as potentially damaging reputations of commercial businesses (particularly food handling environments).
I don’t know if I have a problem. Can I call you for advice or recommendations?
Yes, of course, please do. We are more than happy to discuss your potential problem and should a visit, but no treatment be required, the most you would ever be charged is a small call out fee.
